Text by our former dramaturg Thomas Krümpelmann on Bellini’s orchestral sound. The text was also printed in the programme booklet.
The text provides a historical classification of the opera, deals intensively with Bellini’s way of orchestrating and the instruments of the time, furthermore it gives information about the Banda and underlines the merits of the new critical edition by Alessandro Roccatagliati and Luca Zoppelli (Ricordi).
The Text includes two pages of Bellinis autograph Score.
