The « Missa 1724 » is made up of separately preserved mass parts of Jan Dismas Zelenka composed in the first half of the 1720s.

Although these works certainly were not all written as a single musical whole, and their performances were in no way related to each other, the reconstructing of an imaginary Mass presenting this beautiful music beneath a single arch seems to be a unique opportunity to introduce this portion of Zelenka’s oeuvre to today’s public.
