Five years after the death of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, this sentence is more topical than ever and all art enthusiasts, and not only them, are of this opinion!
The Concentus Musicus Wien as orchestra in residence under the direction of Stefan Gottfried will present works by Haydn and Mozart, two of the central composers in the artistic life of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, in the traditional sacred concert.

After her solo performance in Bach’s B minor Mass in this year’s opening concert of the Attergau Summer of Culture, we are pleased to present to you, dear audience, a more than pleasant discovery in the singer’s sky in this concert: The young Austrian mezzo-soprano Patricia Nolz, debuted in autumn 2020 at the Theater an der Wien as Cherubino in Figaro’s Wedding and will be heard several times in major roles at the Vienna State Opera in the coming season.

In addition to two extremely effective and dramatic arias by Joseph Haydn, she will present herself in our concert together with the Concentus Musicus Wien with the beautiful « Laudamus » from Mozart’s C minor Mass.
